Press releases | 17 February 2026

Silicon Valley, 17 February 2026 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Salesforce as the company signs a definitive agreement to acquire Cimulate, an emerging leader in AI-powered product discovery and agentic commerce. The acquisition will strengthen Salesforce’s investment in Agentforce Commerce by accelerating improvements to search and discovery, helping retailers deliver more personalized, contextual, and conversational shopping experiences.

As shopper expectations continue to evolve, retailers are moving beyond keyword-based search toward intent-driven discovery. By integrating Cimulate with Agentforce Commerce, Salesforce will enhance how shoppers find, explore, and evaluate products in real time, helping them discover and convert faster while enabling merchants to focus on higher-value brand and growth strategies.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.

The Hogan Lovells deal team was led by partner Jane Ross (M&A, Silicon Valley) and senior associate Regina Mendoza (Private Equity & Funds, San Francisco).
