Global law firm Hogan Lovells has acted as international legal advisor to MTN Zakhele Futhi (RF) Limited, a publicly listed South African black economic empowerment vehicle, on the ZAR 3 billion private placement of ordinary shares of MTN Group Limited, the largest mobile network operator in Africa, by way of accelerated bookbuild offering to qualifying investors.
Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc and Rand Merchant Bank (a division of FirstRand Bank Limited) acted as joint bookrunners for the placement.
The Hogan Lovells team that advised on the transaction was led by U.S. partner Alex Parkhouse, assisted by U.S. counsel Mark Devlin.
