Hogan Lovells advises MB Group to deliver sovereign connectivity to Oman

Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. – The top-tier global space and satellite practice at Hogan Lovells has advised The MB Group, a leading Oman-based conglomerate, in a strategic agreement with Astranis, a U.S. geostationary communications satellite company, to create Oman’s first dedicated MicroGEO satellite.

This unique agreement will deliver the Sultanate of Oman’s first dedicated Micro GEO communications satellite, contracted under Astranis’ Block 3 launch with SpaceX later this year. Services are expected to commence by early 2027.

The Hogan Lovells deal team was led by partners Randy Segal (M&A, Northern Virginia) and George John (Communications, Internet, and Media, Washington, D.C.), and associate Hanna Petro (General Corporate & Finance, Northern Virginia).
